End of Wintersday redux 09/10,
Beginning of Canthan new year 10.

So the wintersday redux has come and gone.
Much points were to be had as the snowball dominance quest was turned in over and over again, creating an interesting high pitched sound whenever you stepped foot in the Eye.

But all the other quests were available as well, from making more snowmen, nasty grinchies, saving the reindeer, giving out erroneous presents, or as always, the ever ubiquitous dungeon crawl to the wintersday chest at the end.

But to all good things there comes an end eventually, and as the mandragore sees it's shadow, and attacks it like a rabid wolfhound on crack, so to must grenth himself give pause, pack up the grinches and toys, head back to the underworld, and await word from high above that this constant parade of ninjas through his realm will stop raiding his chest over and over again.
And on the goodness side of things, Dwana calls forth her sister goddess to help make things bloom once more, even as she chides Melandru for allowing her rangers to be so mean to others in fights. (here's some softer arrows to distribute to your followers dear sister)

So the season finally changes over for some, we await for other changes to come down from on high.
To help pass the time before those changes arrive, we have the ever favorite, and final celebration of the various holiday seasons.

Having been left out of the celebrations of Halloween and wintersday, Cantha features one of her own. A celebration of the passing of the year, and of the celestial beast that represents it.

Even now, citizens of canthan and of lands beyond are scouring terrain that is home to beasties that can be docile to most passerby, or to the lands that carry entities that favor your flesh on the well done scale of things. All to get trophys and parts from said beasties, and offer them to the chefs of the divine entities, in exchange for a simple token of gratitude, as well as a chance to make a great meal, and be thusly favored by the heavenly beasts.

And this year, featuring the great and powerful tiger, who, despite his ferocious seeming nature, has more issues going on then a necro who has to keep slitting his wrists while the monks around him scream "MORE POWER!!!"
The tiger is known for being Unpredictable, rebellious, colorful, powerful, passionate, daring, impulsive, vigorous, stimulating, sincere, affectionate, humanitarian, generous. But they can also be cold, restless, reckless, impatient, quick-tempered, obstinate, ruthless, selfish, aggressive, unpredictable, moody.

But they're a cute kitty, people forgive them.
Usually.

The event itself has changed little over the course of time, with the one exception of one celestial saying (in pumba's voice)"holy me! There's a lotta little me's down there. Mayyyybe I shouldn'ta given out so many me's like that."
And thus began the great pig quest of 08.
But that's another story for another time.

Beyond that, the event has remained the same, even the hat hasn't changed at all. Some consider this to be boring, while others consider this comforting. A form of stability in an unstable and changing world.

And so we look forward to canthan new year, with the beautiful decorations, the games, the events, the food, the sweets("I am the great Kuujii! I need red bean cakes for my piehole." ), and of course, the fireworks.
