The world was overcome by the dreaded Charr. Thousands were being slaughtered each day, fighting in vain to try and save the city. Catapults were firing, arrows were flying, but for every Charr warrior knocked down, four took its place. Corpses lay all over the ground, being trodden on, and dismantled by the jagged teeth of the enemy. Since the beginning, years had passed. Not many could remember how it once was, and the new generations had only ever heard stories. Companions were falling, friends, family members, dying all around, and there wasn’t a single thing anyone could do about it. The great city of Rin fell.

The king, who had just managed to flee before the Charr overran the city, looked out of his window, admiring the daylight, green fields, and happy subjects. Of course, that was a huge difference to the life outside the Great Wall, where soldiers were risking, giving their lives, to help defend the last of their people. Huge offences attacked the wall daily. But still, it held. With little option left, the king asked for small groups of people to scout, ambush, hunt, and help save the kingdom that had fallen into darkness. He made a call for men of all kinds to join together for salvation. The Ministry answered their call.

A small group of only five people, The Ministry joined together, made up from those of different skills. These five quickly learned the terrain, and formed a tightly-knit group, pursuing the safety of their beloved kingdom.A momentous task, these four adapted, developing strategies and tactics of the highest order, as well as a secretive communication chain, and slowly whittled down the Charr attacking the Northern Wall. But their actions were not in vain. The pressures on the new capital decreased, as the Charr soon realised that Asceron was the home of some loyal, talented warriors. These five leaders were promoted to Generals for their help in holding the Charr at bay, but as the attacks relented, there was little use left for them. So they split, vowing that whenever needed, they would return. That day has come again…

After we have excisted for several years in different kind of games. The Ministry wants to explore its borders. Thats the reason why we decided to make The Ministry move to some other games, guild wars is one of them.

After having build up a nice playerbase in tick based games as planetarion and planetia, this will be the first mmorpg, that we are gonna play. For this we would like to recruit people that are interested in playing with people that are in for some fun, know how to play a game, and that is looking for a nice time. The Ministry has existed for a while, and succeeded due to its irc-active community, if you are interested in playing with us, we would like to be able to talk to everyone on irc, this way people can talk whenever they want, and not only about ingame issues. As The Ministry isn't only about gaming, it's about combining gaming with a closely-knit community.

We have our own forums, our private irc network to be able to communicate with eachother. We are looking forward to meet new people. Next to the social part, we really want to be able to have some people in our guild that know what they are doing. We also want to be able to do the co-op missions with people from our guild, and not random people.

For further information, visit our public irc channel located at the Netgamers IRC network, channel is #ministry-gw, server; irc.netgamers.org .
