If you meant the original... I thought the idea was really clever, nice refreshing absence-of-villain for a change... not sure why you hated it. I'd give it a popcorn award, but it lacks polish to ever become a classic. Can't say that the follow-ups helped much either.

The Final Destination is the actual name of the third and hopefully last movie. It is supposed to be the last. I bought the first movie and did like it.

Actually, it's the 4th installment, which I did not see. Not that the 3rd was particularly memorable, mind you. I did think the opening scene of the 2nd was awesome. First was great if only for starting the idea (which was cool then, but got old fast).

And everybody knows that I am a Dervish zebra.

I only found the original one an interesting concept. The second (car accident) and third (rollercoaster accident) were truely just milking the concept of the first. I cannot imagine if the fourth will be any good. What's it about, a racing accident, right?

In regards to "non-male and/or non-straight" people in the military, my stance has always been "if they want to serve their country, and they have the ability to do so, why not let them?". *shrug*

Let me think. How long could it have been? Probably a 2 or 3 years since I left? I left Dii just after Xircon went. Perhaps I was the last of the originals and then it was left to Sofi and Matt to run the US playground . Or are some of the others still around or back? Vic, Kaz, Tsume, Sim, Goo, Zabo, Diab, Harja, Frisky, Doc, Undead, Happy, Dolph, Bowie, Cantos, Natalya.... argh, I cannot even remember them all and some aren't part of the originals either....

The "US playground" - very good way to describe it.

You know, there are names on that list that I don't recoginze. Of the ones I do, the only ones I can say with certainty are still in the guild/in regular contact with the guild are: Goo, Happy, Cantos and Natalya.

I just thought I'd come check how things were in the good old place. It's really good to see at least one person that I still remember well. I did miss you Sofi .

PS: Mini, what's your stance on GW2?

Well, my stance (probably coincides with Matt's) is "buy, possibly pre-order". Of course, this may change by the time GW2 is actually released.

PPS: Is there still a website with a player roster (to see who's still around)?

If you're referring to the website (in orange and yellow) that we used to have waaay back, then the answer is "no, it doesn't exist anymore". We do - as Alaris mentioned - have a thread with a roster in the private section. On top of that, there's a wiki page devoted to the guild.

Yes, you are right. It would be number 4.

I liked the first and suffered through 2 and 3. Number 4, which does open with a racing crash, was terribly boring. Sad when you want the characters to die.

I'm willing to bet that the experience of living as a cake was pretty bad. He started out as a whole cake in early April (when the pic was taken). But by end of April, he was just a piece of cake.

For me, it's far less about what happens, and more about how it's done. I thought the highway scene was very well executed. The rest of the movie was ok as far as I remember.

The main problem with it is that it'd be hard to push the story forward without fail. So they just choose to churn random deaths instead. The movie will only be as interesting as the contraptions causing the deaths.

Take Cube or Saw for comparison. Cube extended on what the cube is for. Saw went deeper into the story of the Jigsaw murderer.
