Heh I thought so too, but wasn't sure if it fell in the same catagory as colour and Armour (I'm canadian so I try to spell the right way :D).

and if you ever were given a nice hidden vault you'd understand... it's not about the new book smell... it's about the sense of feeling you get from moving the _____ and then putting in the key/8number combination

Think of it this way, thats one less book to read when IN college.

Are you saying that they'll probably make me read that book later on anyways?

but textbooks, heck half the time our prof's say something along the lines of "Yeah we have to say we are using this book, but I find it's complete garbage so don't waste your money on it."

If you are an auditory learner the best (only way in my case) to get good grades is to go to class and actively participate.

Yeah I had a social studies dept. teacher like that. He was also kind of lazy, since he didn't like the material he was supposed to teacher, so in a whole fourth-of-a-year semester we only got it about 2 hours of real work and studying (not counting exams). Man I wish I'd have a teacher like that next year.


On another note, my mother read the book earlier. She could shortly tell me what it's about, but probably wouldn't want to, because of her wanting me to read it myself.

I'm saying that if they've asked yu to read it then its most likely going to come up somewhere. All those people that didn't read it will then be forced to in-college time while having the rest of the material to catch up on as well. For your own benefit it'd be best to read the thing.

Heh, it's not like I'm going out much. I'm not a very social person; I have a lot more friends online than I do in the real world. I stay at home most of the summer. Though my best friend that I hang out with is going away to some tiny hick town for college, and he's really regretting it. Geneseo I believe is the name of the town; it's somewhere in NY state. So, we are trying to make the best out of this last month.

I believe this is a college. It's a plain required english course. I don't know what exactly we're going to be doing there. My major is going to be Computer Information Sciences, so the english class has nothing to do with that.

in that case, take your last month of freedon, get on a plane to spain and figure out what you're really going to spend your money on when you've graduated and created a company of your own to have rights to a revolutionary something that you design.

Then you can enjoy your education with a purpose... and maybe even that book... read it on the plane.

Well what can I say since Diab's book crisis there hasn't been much going on in this thread...

You'll get it when we hand the list to one of the admins (or I experiment more with the mod powers, though I shouldn't be able to do it..)

As for OT...lets see...oh yeh, only mentioned it in the PAL forum, GW got me a job :D

Basically it went down to the hair between me and this other person (exact same experiance/grades/etc generally) and I got picked because I wrote down afew extra things:

1) Forum modderator of GWonlie.net
2) Alpha tester for AreaNet
3) Guild Officer

:D They told me on the phone when they asked me if I still wanted the job that it was because of those few extra things which showed I could be confidential, responcible (yeh...right..) and had leadership capabilities.

Start it on the 27th jsut after I get back from my week's music festival, decent pay, decent weekend hours (though they're the ones i usually sleep in..so looks like I'll be giving up sleep again ), I'm working in the head office doing some accounts work, some ICT admin work and then handling all the money at the end of the day (which is nice to have on a CV for future jobs).
