i got a weapon with a purple name title at is not to bad but what does the purple mean?

Purple indicates it's a rare item. There are also yellow items, which are also rare. Which one of the two is more rare is open to debate. It seems to have something to do with the modifications on the weapons. Lastly, there are also blue weapons which are magic and slightly better than normal white weapons.
mmm... well i have salvage the yellow ones but in teh beta and maybe a purple one too. when i did i got this thing for a upgrading a weapon with the weapon's power in it and thinking about it. it could mean that i would get a item like that again. i'll see what i get out of it.
well all i got was 5 planks of wood and it was worth 40gp before i salvage it.
