    item colors

I'm still a bit confused to all the colors of items and their rarity. Perhaps a link to a list would help; I thought purple is rarer than yellow.

    Ident kit - Precious?

I used the Ident kit on a blue item and all it said was "precious" - what does that mean?

I have seen other things like what armor or stats it helps also 'very salvagable' (something like that??) and understand all of that. But have no clue what the precious means?

As shown in other threads, there are four basic 'types' of items you will find.

    1. The white-text item will just be a 'normal' drop, with no 'bonuses'.

    2. The blue-text item, usually marked as 'Unidentified', will either yield (on applying the 'Identification Kit') a. a 'Highly Salvageable' item (more crafting materials gained than normal, from using a Salvage/Expert Salvage Kit on it), b. a 'Precious' item (worth more by selling to a Merchant) or c. an item with an additional attribute to it (+4 Fire Magic). If it has further bracketed text to it, i.e. (Req. 4 in Fire Magic), then this item requires the wielders Fire Magic attribute to be 4 or higher to utilise the item fully.

    3. The purple-text items 'drops' will usually be found later in the game and are also to be viewed as blue-text items in the above example.

    4. The yellow-text item, again usually marked as 'Unidentified' denotes that is is rare. Rare will usually mean that it is also a 'special' drop, in that it will have more than the usual attributes associate with it. It will also mean that is is of course more valuable, not neccessarily to the Merchant, but to other players, etc. Hope that helps.

Precious means that it sells for 10 times the original price, I believe. Basically, it adds another 0 to the end of the price.

As for highly salvageable items, those you either get more crafting items from them, or you have a higher chance of getting rare crafting materials.

Thanks for the info! Precious is "a good thing" then!

Can you buy Expert Salvage Kits from other players while still a "young" character? Or do you have to gain levels to get to the more advanced areas?

You can get them from high level characters and then buy the kits from them.

Thanks Fallen - I rerolled my character and trying to "do it right" this time :p So as soon as I graduate I will start to spam - oops - start to ask to see if anyone has any Expert Salvage Kits for sale.
