How many characters can u make a account? If there is a max character cap, can you use the same cd-key on diffrent accounts for more characters?

There is a 4 character per account limit, but Im not sure if you can use the same key to make a new account or not. Has anyone tried?Originally Posted by Fr0sts

I don't believe so otherwise one person gets the CD-key then passes along to others to create other accounts. That's software pirating.

Not necessarily... You can only login in once.... so anyone 'sharing' a cdkey will find them selves unable to login in if one person already is... You could do the above in DII.

I may be wrong but I doubt that you can create another account with the same key. It will tell you that the key was already used (it should work the same way for BWE key)

well, i really don't know either, but you can be sure i'm going to try it later tonight if no one else does. i doubt you can, based solely on the fact that there is a 4 character limit on an account. if they didnt specifically want to limit you to 4, wouldnt they have it higher, and would they really let you have multiple accounts? i don't think so, but there's no harm in trying it.

Key information is stored on Anets servers so Yes they know exactly which keys have been activated and which haven't. The key can be used to set up exactly 1 account.
if that was the case... the person who i gave the key to will neva get to play :P im literally on it 24/7 running.. lol i jus have it sittin in the back ground :D

I think what he meant was he would have 2 or more accounts on his 1 PC and 4 characters in each. He could then log in to only one of them at a time and utilise any one group of 4 characters.

To sum things up, I'd really like 2 more char slots...
