    When should I leave?

Hello, I am just wondering when I should Leave pre-searing.
I am level 6 and cannot seem to find many quest left. I have not been north of the wall but everywhere else.

    Thanks

When I left pre-searing I was level 8. However, that was only due to the fact that I completed *ALL* the quests that were available to me, got all the armor I could find, and spent some time "farming" monsters for gold.

You can leave pre-searing at any time you wish, although I wouldn't recommend it to anyone below level 5 especially if they haven't played the game before. The game gets significantly harder once you leave.

I would highly advise you to remain and find out what type of materials you need to craft your armor once you leave pre-searing, so that you can immediately craft the new armor. It will be of great benefit to you.

Your info is slightly incorrect. You need to be level 3 in order to get the quest from Sir Tidus. I do agree that crossing over at less than level 5 is a poor decision. I usually transition anywhere between 5-7. Getting above 7 means you are just spinning your wheels IMHO.

One thing I found handy was trying to get around 1k gold, it meant that I could afford the best armor in post-searing ascalon, (as long as i had the materials), plus buy 2 bags to expand my inventory and pay the 50gp fee to get access to storage.

Moving on somewhere around lvl 6-8 seems to work well.

My first character got to level 8 and went post-searing, the second got to level 9, and the last one I got really boring at pre-searing so I made him took off at 5. Getting to level 8 or 9 is really overkill I found.

LOL! I did the same thing at level 4 and immediately got my ars kicked several times. I went back and recreated another character and am doing what the others have suggested above.

on my main char i left newb zone at level 5 and progressed perfectly fine afterwards (you do gain more exps once your out there... and yes things are definitely harder but thats the fun in it right?)

but now on my second n third char im up to level 8 but im jus going to stay there and harvest as much materials as possible before leaving :)

Just a hint.... if you are a warrior wanting wyvern armour.. keep scales from pre-searing... they appear to be harder to find post-searing.

Many people find that once they enter post-searing, they can't do much solo. Well you're not supposed to. Pre-searing has a max group-limit of 2 and pretty much everything except for 2 specific quests can be done solo. Post is 4. You need to either group up with other players or use the henchmen (which aren't available until post-searing). I know I made this mistake and a friend of mine did as well. Things are alot easier with a full group. :)
