PvP vs PvE Character - please explain

I was in beta and have played a little PvP. But I am confussed as to the choice when you create a new character.

I like to solo and because I only did the PvP like 3-4 times in beta, I hesitate to create a character for PvP 'only'.

What are the main differences? Can you use the PvP character as a Regular Character (doing missions/quests etc) and just adventuring - or is it ONLY for PvP?

I can find info, when I search, about "how to build the best PvP character" but not info on exactly What this difference is.

With only 4 slots for characters and the different Combo's I want to try - I would like to know before I create my last and final character.

    Thank you so much!

PVP as I understand it allow you to generate a character up to a certain level especially for arena type competition. You cannot 'roleplay' with this character.

PVE or RPG character can still participate in certain PVP roles, such as the ascalon arena.

RPG characters are the only ones who can travel the world doing quests etc.. and level up etc....

    Hope that helps. :happy34:
