What do you type in to take pics? I need it step by step, because I know hardly anything about this.
You can simply press Prt Scr which will include anything displayed including the HUD and text -or- use Shift + Prt Scr and then you will get only the real screen (minus HUD, text, inventory screens, etc). Do both then you can compare for yourself.

Another option (for filming a movie for example) is CTRL-SHIFT-H, which will hide the GUI until you press the keycombo again.
Sorry if it seems like I'm hijacking the thread, but considering the thread's title, I figured I'd post my question here.
A few days ago, my regular screenshot function started behaving like the shift+Prt Scr function (basically, when I try to take a normal screenshot, the HUD and other on-screen displays flicker off for a brief second while the screenshot is being saved). Do any of you guys happen to know what could cause this, and how I might fix it?
Thanks in advance.
You might want to check and see if your Shift key on your keyboard is stuck. Also, You might want to double check the key bindings to make sure you didn't accidentally change the key for the screen shots. I would also say check your sticky key settings in the control panel, but I seriously doubt that would have an affect on the problem you are describing.
