stingray strand armor

I read on this site that stingray strand offers 57 defense armor. The wierd thing is, later towns (ie Amnoon oasis) offer 51 defense armor (until of course you get to forge), did this site make a mistake, or is this really how it is? Don't you find it a bit odd?

actually, me and a guildie went over to Stingray Strand just for the purpose of seeing that crafter. heres the catch:
Only Ele, Pyro, and Geo sets
ONLY ELEMENTALIST ARMOR
yes, they are 57 armor, and thats good, so i dont see why theres a reason to complain. and its a Crafter, not a Collector. so... yea

^only elementalist armor? well yeah i went there and picked up some 57 geomancer armor :) while i was going to fishermans haven. didn't know it was elementalist only though, wanted to pick up some armor for my ranger but oh well

That is not entirely correct. The armorer will make Elementalist, Mesmer,Necromancer and Monk armors. The selection and quality stated in the guide are correct. The armorer does not make Warrior or Ranger armor.

does he have head pieces? (ie stone's eye flame's eye, all seeing eye)

o and btw, is it a town? like can i travel back there any time by clicking on it? or is it just an explorable area?

He has what the armor guide on this web page indicates he has. No head pieces last I checked. Of course you never know when updates happen. He is outside of Sanctum Cay..a bit west and north along the cliff face on the beach.

Thanks for mentioning this, I had forgotten about it entirely!

No headpieces, but 1k each is a pretty good deal...won't be upgrading again until 15k armor. ^^;

this is cool and all, but does any1 know where i could get the same 57 armor, but AEROmancer? maybe even Hydro, but i just want to find the other one that there should be to even out the playing field... or do they put it there because after the mission u go to the desert? (earth and fire)

The list of level 57 Armor rating armors does not include the Aeromancer set. You can get level 51 Armor rating at the Amnoon Oasis..each Elemental type I believe...After that the level 60 Armor rating armors are at Droknar's Forge...also each Elementalist set type.
