I've got an icy bow string and I was wondering what exactly is so special about cold damage?

I believe elemental damage has some effect on armour resistance? >_> Not exactly sure how that works.
Also Cold damage does more damage vs Fire enemies, and vice-versa I think.
It would be nice if they made each elemental damage type have an actual effect- like fire damage has a 5% chance of setting your target on fire if you hit a critical, or cold damage has the same chance to freeze, etc
It's better versus Fire-based creatures (like some of the creatures in the Ring of Fire island chain). It's better against most warriors (who get a bonus against physical damage, instead of elemental damage). It allows you to use Conjure Frost if you are R/E. I carry 4 bows, each with a different element (except for Ebon/Earth), and swap them according to vulnerability of the creature I'm attacking.Originally Posted by Flame Grilled
