About Accension

I just read in a post that someone is trying to accend in crystal desert. I thought you could not accend until you get to Droknars Forge.

So what i accension exatly?

Can i do that in crystal desert?

Ascension is more or less a rite of passage. The Ascension missions do take place in the desert and after you've completed the 3 missions, you then need to defeat your doppleganger (aka mirror, as they renamed it).

I think some people may be confusing Ascension with the attribute point quests, one of which you do in Southern Shiverpeaks.

Well how do I get to ascension, someone said do all the missions in kryta but im not sure. . .and also is it pointless to go to the forge before the game?

You get there by following the storyline mission, i.e. the co-op missions and primary quests. This will lead you to a place called Augury rock. There is a priest there(no ! though), talking to him will bring you to 3 ghosts who will tell you what you need to do to get to ascension.

Going to the southern Shiverpeaks via Lornars pass skips a lot of missions, but otherwise has no consequence. You will miss some of the plot and some exp, but otherwise nothing important happens.
