Dears,
After doing some quest, the NPC ask me whether I like to change my second
profression.
If I changed, will the skill of the original second profession be gone?

You won't be able to use skills of a profession you currently aren't using, but those skills are still on your character (just temporarily inaccessible).
For example, I have a R/Me that I experimented with being a R/Mo for a bit. After I decided I liked R/Me better, I changed back and had all my old skills again. However, while being R/Mo I couldn't use any of my Mesmer skills.
do you have to be ascended to do this? i can't get any quests from vanyi, the npc in droknar's forge. does this have to do with the fact that i haven't visited all of crystal desert yet?

Yea, you have to be a 'hero' to get Vanyi's quests. And the only way to really be a hero is to beat a mirror representation of yourself, followed by getting zapped into a grain of sand and attempting to kill the dragon who foresaw the Flameseeker prophecy. :DOriginally Posted by liquid arrows

Yes, Dark was right, u have to complete the task in Argury Rock to go to Dragon's Lair. And then u also have to complet the mission in Dragon's Lair.
Vayni in DF will then have the task for u.
