max vampiric modifier on swords and axes

I thought the max vampiric mod on all weapons was 5:1, but now i'm seeing places saying 3:1 on swords and axes. Is this true?

the max for axes and swords is 3:1. For hammers and bows its 5:1.

The reason is simple if you think about it. Swords/Axes have an attack speed of 1.25 seconds, Hammers/Bows at 1.75+seconds. Therefore hammers and bows need the the higher lifestealing rating in order to have a similar level of effectiveness.
