    Question :D

What does the refresh rate do? Would it help make the game run faster on a slower comp? And if it does make it run faster, what should I set it to?

if you want to mess with refresh rate, you'll need to know the max refresh rate your monitor can handle at the resolution you run GW at. Then bump it up to that... though i usually keep this option "default" in games.

Oh, ok well i like this game but it's not really enjoyable when its hard to play because it runs so slow. Since there's nothing i can do I guess ill have to wait awhile and see what i can do to my PC to make it run faster. :(

Honestly, I'd just leave the refresh rate alone. I don't think it will make much difference in terms of how smooth the game runs. Lowering the resolution or in-game details may help, but of course the drawback is a less pretty GW. Hopefully, you'll find an adequate tradeoff.

The refresh rate is how much times the displayed image on your monitor are refreshed in a certain time period. With a low refresh rate, you may see the screen blinking, especially when there's a lot of movement on the screen. I don't think it's one of the things that make much of a performance difference on your system.

If you want better performance, the first thing you should do is set the Anti-Aliasing to a lesser number or switch it off completely. If that doesn't help, try lowering the quality bar setting.
