How to get to competition arenas?

I was watching a video and the guy in it goes to "competition arenas" in the island in the middle of the map.. how do you get access to this island???

go to Lion Arch, go south to the dock. There you will see serval npcs, one will take you to the guildhall, the other one will take you to the arena.
