Question about salvaging

I know the answer to this...but just want to make sure so i dont mess up...I have a fiery dragon sword of fortitude with +25 life for the fortitude mod...if i were to salvage it, which kit would I use to get the +25 to life pommel? Or could i even extract the sword pommel of fortitude from it

The only kit you can use to salvage a part is the expert. You'll end up with either the Fortitude Pommel or a Fiery Hilt. (or possibly Iron) :-)

You have to use the Expert Salvage kit to obtain any upgrades from it. However, it is still random. You may get the fortitue pommel, or you may get the fiery hilt, or you could get steel/iron ingots... you never know :p
