Eeeewwww, Tuna Casserole. That's just a waste of good fish.
I grew up on smashed spuds. They're comfort food.
easy-to-make gravy. Actually most of the stuff from Club House is good. Like the Montreal Steak Spice... god that's good stuff...

Yes easy-to-make gravy is the best lol
That brings to mind another dish my mother use to make, tomato gravy over fresh baked biscuits.
The biscuits were made up first and put in the oven to cook while she made the gravy. She would start the gravy by frying up strips of bacon nice and crisp. She would remove them from the pan and then brown flour in the drippings. Sometimes she would also cut up an onion and brown it a bit before adding the flour. Then she would take a large tin of tomatoes and add it to the flour with a bit of milk. She would break the tomatoes up into bits while the gravy was cooking. After it had thicken, she would crumble the bacon strips and stir them in.
Take a piping hot biscuit, split it in half and top with the gravy. Yummy! (but not exactly healthy)
I use to fix this for the kids and myself before I married my current hubby. He doesn't like any kind of gravy, the kids are grown and gone, so I don't make it anymore.
Mmm gravy. One of the unhealthiest, yet yummiest, things ever. LOVE IT!!!
I had grilled cheese for deeeeeenner last night. I like to sprinkle garlic salt on the buttered outside before grilling it. Super fantastic awesome.
Ya, well after my dads softball game we went to a bar and i got a chicken fried steak sandwich(which BTW is amazing with gravy but all they had was ketchup), so i didn't starve from noteating much Tuna
chicken fried steak sandwich? So the sandwich has chicken and steak?
You take a thin steak, like round steak. Use a meat mallet on it to tenderize it some, season with salt and pepper.
Dip in flour, an egg wash and the flour again (the way you sometime do to make fried chicken) and then pan fry in oil until golden brown. Keep warm until you make the gravy.
Afterward you can make cream gravy by adding a little more flour to brown in the oil and drippings (drain off excess oil first) and then add whole mix and cook until thicken.
Serve a piece of the "chicken-fried" steak with gravy over the top. Goes great with mashed taters and green beans!
Mawg, thats the best-est meal!
