Hello Everyone,
I have been playing GW for little over 2 months now.
I just started using this forum last week.
I have noticed people talking about bots.
What the heck is bot?
Thanks,
Joey

Its someone who bought the game, and decided to let a computer program play the game for him/her. Having it do simple tasks to generate gold while he/she sleeps, eats or whatever. This is Why there is things like moving chests that never spawn in the same location exactly. and why some area's have been changed to make killing monsters in that area a lot harder for a "bot" to do and for an average player it wouldn't be a huge problem to over come these changes.Originally Posted by Cerinious

I wouldn't recommend buying game money for real money though. Not only is it very risky but bot's and sweat shops ruin the game economy!

Yup that too :(Originally Posted by ArbainHestia
Depends really. In this game. What the top 2 guys said. In others like FPS(first person shooters), they are computer controlled, players really have no say over them. They know exactly where you are, wherever you are. And are set by certain routes- but multiple routes.

Seems liks GW gold isn't worth a penny.
It's like the Japanese Yen.
Actually, if you look at Ebay, and I do occasionally for amusement, prices for Gold have risen tremdously since the patch. It appears that the Anti-Botting measures that ANet has implemented are having an effect. :clap:Originally Posted by moenbase

After reading the Bots in Droks post, i was wondering if there was a way to tell a bot from a real person. I would like to know some "Sure Fire Ways" to know.
