I searched all over these forums, and I know that I saw somewhere that there was a build for the Underworld with a Monk and a Necro. The Monk is a kind of Invinci-monk build, while the necro sits back and uses spiteful Spirit and helps the monk out a bit.
Can anyone tell me exactly what it is, cause I can't find it.
invincimonk soloing post-patch was slow and unprofitable as it was, but bringing anouther along too, is it even worth it anymore? if u sold ur runes and offhand fast u could probably make a quick 100k, thats a lot of work as an invincimonk, im glad i cast off that ball and chain, farming greens in SF with a party is pwange fun
Just use a common Blood/Curse build. Bring Spiteful, Awaken and other spell like Weakness one.Originally Posted by Valice
Bringing another along is prefectly fine, especially since it's my roommate. I currently rune farm like crazy, so I'm not worried about money, but I'd like to do something different.
Theory for a 2 man run:
N/Mo [tank, pbaoe and dd nuker]
E/Mo [nuker]
The tank runs Dark Aura, Aura of the Lich, Balthazars Spirit, Mending, and some sacrifice skills.
The nuker runs Essence Bond, and Renewal or something like that to be able to nuke like a mofo.
Deep Wound is glitchy atm, so... who knows.

The basic Monk and Necro two man team consists of a regular tanking invincimonk and a Spiteful Spirit Necro with Mes secondary for the arcane echo. You use awaken the blood to get the curses up to 18 and then arcane echo spiteful. After that, you'll be able to throw off like 3-4 Spitefuls if necessary. If they're grouped decently they'll hit each other for 123 damage as second for like 23 seconds. I use suffering after that to negate some of the natural regen they have. On the smites, bring dessecrate enchantments for mega damage. I also bring blood ritual if the monk needs a bit of energy while we wait for a regen. Hope that helps![]()
Actually running Elemental Attunement and Fire Attunement keeps your energy above 50% pretty much the entire time. Use AoE spells like Searing Heat and Firestorm along with Fireball and Phoenix if you are feeling lucky.Originally Posted by Ubermancer
I don't know the full invinci-monk skillset offhand, but here's my spiteful necro:
Curses 16
Domination 10
Soul Reaping 9 (mostly to meet the req of the +27 energy collectors cesta)
Awaken the Blood
Chaos Storm
Spiteful Spirit
Arcane Echo
Insidious Parasite or Empathy (Depends on my mood. Very similar in dmg)
Power Spike (used in emergencies to knock out rend, say if 2 dyings pop)
Desecrate Enchantments
Parasitic Bond
If your monk brings a smite, I'd recommend Balth Aura, just for making the smites go down a bit quicker. You can kill smites on your own (desecrate, dbl chaos, spiteful w/bond mask), but for speeds sake, aura is nice to stack on.
Due to the fact that elemental damage is reduced by armor, bringing a nuker as a second man in an UW run goes much slower through the aatxes.
A curses necro or smiter tears through the first part much faster simply because their damage is not reduced by armor (except zealots fire of course).
As described above, curses necros should bring spiteful spirit as the main dmg dealer. If your invincimonk is using a melee wep (for longer enchants or +5 energy) then MoP is also an awesome way to deal lots of dmg. Suffering is also one to consider including on your bar.
Now... this will make your two-man team tear through the aatxes and graspings, but once you get to smites you'll have trouble because they remove hexes. And if you get a large group they will remove a LOT of hexes and remove them much faster than you can replace or cover them.
Therefore I'd recommend you take a secondary of /Mo or /E to deal with the smites once you get there. Balthazar's Aura, Zealots Fire, Firestorm, Searing Heat etc are all good weapons vs smites. Lord Natural's /Me build looks pretty nice too with the double chaos storms. My main concern with his build is that it looks like he'll run out of energy and need to take time to regen (I could be wrong... haven't used N/Me for this). Since you want your farming runs to be non-stop and go as quickly as possible, some energy management is good. The nicest thing about going /Mo is that you can maintain essence bond on the tank for almost limitless energy (if the tank is skilled enough to handle large groups). The idea of using Desecrate Enchants on smites is an interesting one... haven't tried it but it looks good.
Due to the fact that smiting is good for both aatxes and smites, my husband and I usually prefer to do UW runs with 2 monks (invinci and smiter). With the so called "1 hp" bug, it's useful to be able to spam mend condition with zealots to keep the bug away (something to do with deep wounds stacking). Mend contition is also nice for removing dazed if the graspings have a well-timed skull crack (not common but it does occasionally happen). Not to mention being able to res the tank if something goes wrong. But we've played around with curses too and it is viable if you need more skill points on your necro (or don't have a monk).
Hope it helps.

When my wife and I go into the UW to do a 2 man run we bring a invinci and a Me/N. The invinci uses a +20% enchant axe that we found and instead of zealots brings flurry. The Me/N will bring Mark Of Pain, Spiteful Spirit, Arcane Echo, Chaos Storm, and Suffering among a few others. The Me/N will put MoP onto the ataxe that the monk is attacking. Once that is done the monk will use flurry to increase the damage done by MoP. Next up is the Arcane Echo and Spiteful combo placed on to the ataxes. Then to top it all off use Suffering on them to add a -2 health degen.
Talk about them dropping quickly with this setup. I just have to remember to bring some energy management skills for the Me/N and keep an eye on my energy because you can run out real quickly with this setup.
