What build was this?

I was in CA yesterday, and i was playing in my usal team, when we came accros a team of two monks and ttwo eles. The monks were for healing, but the eles had a high damage build.

I saw they were e/me and they were using some kind of knockdown, and then when you were down, BOTH eles would run either side of you and cast aftershock for a double dose of damage. this really asffected me as i was a monk, and there damage was HIGH!

Does anyone know what build this was?

Each of the 4 Elements has at least 1 skill to cause a knockdown. Since you mention Aftershock, I assume the Elementalist had a high earth Attribute and was most likely casting Earthquake. However it is possible that they had brought Gale along or another knockdown skill from the Air line.

I did a quick check of the Mesmer Skills and didn't find one that causes a knockdown. I could have missed it, but I rather suspect that they were using one of the Elementalist skills rather than a Mesmer skill.

i would most likly say it was EQ because it does deal damage whilst knocking you down, followed with a after shock you can be looking at 105 damage with stones eye(sup rune) from EQ. 105 +72 from after shock, add arcane echo with obsidian flame or crystal wave (some wont use OF cause of exaustion) but for simple calcs OF =118 damage x2 or CW is 108 damage x2 thats per person. both CW and OF ignore armour and resistance so they are real damage numbers so with good enough monks on there end they deal your end un speakable damage lol

Neither ignore protective spirit, and only crystal wave would ignore spell breaker/obsideon flesh.

Ok, thanks, but i just think its wierd, that both eles had mesmer as a secondary, maybe they were using it for interupts, because the ele on my team was complaining a bit

mesmer rocks as a secondary, they can go interupts or down the echo path, also energy management as earty spells become quite costly quickly

Glyph of Energy is the skill to have for any earth build.
