Terakhan, kudos! The most appropriate use of Shakespeare, ever!
Golden Ham award to you!
You missed a couple "holidays", though...
Inauguration Day: Every four years we could elect someone new to ruin Tyria...We could parade him/her/it around LA and throw rotten vegetables at {insert pronoun}. I nominate Galrath, with Justiciar Halcion (sp?) as his second in command.
Grandparents Day: Everyone could buddy up with the undead, eat stale cookies and listen to long boring stories of their youth.
And since Every day is National Friendship Day (at least according to my email): We all wander around giving each long, pointless, very terrible pieces of poetry.

Ah. Much appreciated Kwanza link. No wonder Futurama makes fun of it every year.
As for the Shakespeare, as I was reading my post, I saw all those apologies, and it reminded me of that great little ending apology from the play.
Of course, I was going for real holidays (with the exception of arbor day. really, who celebrates that, outside of elementary age children at school?)
Considering the seeming desire to keep mainstream religions off of GW, here is an idea for the Winter holiday season. I remember listening to a song from a band called Inkubus Sukkubus. The song was titles Hail the Holly King. And the Holly King was the idea. Something related to the season but not to a specific religion anymore.
Santa Claus may have origins in Catholicism, but I think anyone who takes offense at him for being somehow asociated with a religion is a bit fanatical about things (yes, I do appreciate the irony of that statement).

Why would religious people play GW on a religious day?
I want my Santa Hat and suit on my Warrior!

Tyria has five gods in total and I'm pretty sure Anet has planned celebration ahead for honouring each gods. Perhaps we will be celebrating Grenth's day on December cos I imagine that Grenth loves cold days. Maybe Ascalon can celebate King Adelbern's birthday (or whoever is the current King of Ascalon like most monarch country does).
what do you think they will do on new years eve?
I dont know if this has been posted, but what about several different quests for a santa suit. One quest could give you the santa hat, another quest gives you a candy cain and etc..
Just a thought :-) What do you guys think?
I agree that there will be more holiday events:
Christmas
New Years
Valentines
etc.....
But the biggest (and I cant believe its only been mentioned once so far!!!!) should be:
GW's BIRTHDAY!!!! :surprise:
Yeah!
Presents for all
Streamers in the towns
Wieldable Birthday Candles that wont go out
Birthday hats (no birthday suits....naughty naughty!)
Surprise Party's (Your walking through an instance and * BOOM! * Surprise!)
Gag gifts :surprise:
Happy Birthday to GW FTW!!!!
