Personally, i don't care that much for vampiric bows. They're only good if you're fighting mobs and have a very reliable healer monk along; and i prefer to snipe...from a distance. I usually use a good flatbow and Choking Gas (as an all-purpose interrupt) and a Favourable Winds+Ignite Arrows+I Am The Strongest (Norn title skill) combo for damage dealing. If my enemies get too close for comfort, i usually sic an Ebon Assassin of Support on em.
And when i know i'm gonna be fighting foes strong against fire magic, i substitute Ebon Sniper of Support for Ignite Arrows.
And, no, i do not play Pvp....
