Nice huh, this is my favorite mesmer armor although I have the fow armor.
This is my mesmer Nadeen the purple.
You get it from Granite Citadel.
My Heros' 15k enchanters armor, dyed black+red :happy34:
Full 15k Enchanter dyed dark red.
To be FoW in the near future :happy34:

Here's my collectors armor. I tried to post these as images, but they may only come up as links (I'm not sure why).
Jacket and boots are dyed orange. It turns a nice, warm brown when placed over the green.
Jacket and Leggings are dyed blue.
Boots are a mix of purple (2X), blue and silver.

I taken aback, as I'm sure many others are, by your sweeping statement.
To refute your assertion, here's an example of what doesn't appear "skanky", IMHO.

I have to agree (my photos are in the links above your post and my character is completely covered up). I think a lot of the armor for the mesmer is rather conservative compared to the other female characters. Here's my second attempt to post the images.
Tunic and boots dyed orange
Boots purple 2X, Blue, Silver
Tunic and Leggings, just Blue
