There's just something wrong about SF PUGing

There is no way of getting a decent party of 5 for Orozar or FA farming...
Considering I do only orozar runs coz I find they are more worthy, everytime I get a group (wether I'm using my Tank or my Monk or my Necro) someone seems to be IN NEED of messing up the group and wasting your time.

Orozar run takes about an hour to complete and around 50min if you get a decent PUG. Imagine you have 20 minutes inside Furnace you have only got to 2 bosses then suddenly, when the tank is aggroing a mob he drops the gear, or imagine that one SS necro runs out of the range of aggroed foes, aggroes some more and gets killed for that, then suddenly another member gets pissed off an quits. Also imagine that at Grenths Footprints when you are just starting, the tanks aggroes and the first thing he/she does is to run back to the monks (pulling everyone he aggroed onto them)...

I really dont know what to do yet... it really annoys to waste so much time for nothing... you get focused to do a 1 hour run and all you get is 5 runs of 15-20 min each coz someone screwed things up....

I tried reading the "PUG guide" how to get into succesful groups, or how to ask them questions to know if "they are good", no use, no gain....

Something must be done about this... Last week I've spent more than 5 hours a day TRYING to get a succesful run done, if it werent for guildies and some friends I adde I would got nothing...

and Deldrimor War Camp is so full of newbish ppl that don't really now what to do or how to approach builds and their functioning and so much waste other ppls time... I'm not against noobs, everyone was one at one certain point, Im just against ppl wasting my time... Is there a way to fix this???
I wanna know if someone has had these results on SF Farming?? What you do in those cases???

I'm almost near to collecting all the greens in the game, never had much problems with runs failing halfway. The only problem i encounter is probably some weaker players who can't take out monk bosses.

My advice to you is to use a Monk. Whether a 5-man team is good or not depends fairly much on the monk.
Some points to note if u want more successful runs :

    1. use a barrier bonder monk
    2. bond everyone in Grenth footprint and barrier the healing monk.
    3. don't go 16 proc, go something like 14 heal 12 prot
    4. use the right skills

I never had much trouble even if the healer monk dropped. Since i'm not the damage dealer, the only problem i had is probably difficulty in killing monk bosses due to inexperience players, at least that is better than dying n dying due to aggro.

Biggest problem I've seen in SF farming and quests are big egos. People who at the first sign of trouble bail out and those who get the item they are searching for leaving.

I don't want to hear, "They were wasting my time." Guess what? When a person leves like that, they themselves are the waste.

Too often in a group I've seen one person leave only to see the remainder come back and press on without them and still score some good kills for items. Just a couple days back we had the tank leave in a group I was in. Pressed on, had some trouble, rethought our plan, came back and killed Tanzit who dropped Razorstone.

Today I got into a pug with my best buddy. We had a tank who left after the razorstone had dropped for me because he didn't get it. I've been seeing this a lot lately in the game, people just leaving because they didn't get something good.
For example, a few days ago in THK a gold hammer dropped for me, but because it took so long for the dudes on the tower things to die it went unassigned. Everyone knew it was mine.. even the warrior who tried beating me to it and then left because I got my hammer before he did.
Hope this stops soon, getting tired of having people leave because something dropped for someone else.

If you think it's hard to start a PuG for farming, try getting a PuG at War Camp for a friggin quest. I've all but given up on it: I'm just going to wait until my guild catches up so I can finish the "To Sorrows Furnace" quest. Every time I got to War Camp there are hordes of people trying to farm, and none of them are doing quests. I guess I didn't get to SF fast enough, eh? :(

Well if you need help with Orozar's Quest I've been jumping every group I can with my Minion Mancer. Couple scrolls, handle the start like an Oro Farm, and I can mill up 15k in XP in a single run in about 35-40 minutes.

I've found it too be one of the better ways to get XP, but with chances of good drops. It's also a change from solo farming. Still need 60-70k in XP for skill points before I can unlock the vast majority of skills I want on that character.

From what I read here, there are lot of people who want to do the quests. But when I'm at the Camp, everybody wants to farm...

i remember the days back in september, when 8 people were required for oro farming and the 5 man(2monks/2 eles/1 tank) were just starting to do fa farming.good old days..

since then the aoe nerf has replaced the eles with necros(mm and ss) , and the tanks started equiping shield of judgement, but the vaste majority of the experienced farmers from those days becamed bored and have moved to different things, so that might explain the recent quality of pugs.

I still have to do the quest in SF, I've done one with hench because iI was tired of asking for a group.
I mostly do my farming there also with hench, it is slow but who cares. I got a needle last time.
Sometimes I do a quest you can get when you are in SF. I still haven't seen all of it and sometimes find myself lost.
So basicly I take the hench and start with cleaning Grenths and after that start trying to do the same in SF. If I get stuck with 60% DP, I turn around and agro some small mobs to work it of.
I would like to go with a group but only if they are not rushing things.

Well, I've been doing a couple runs a night for two weeks and have been in many a good group. Only one group sticks out in my mind as being "not that great". They were guildies/friends who apparently hadn't farmed the area more than a couple times and were still working out their builds and such. With some patience, the run was completed and they learned some things in the process.

Bad groups aren't always bad, as some players are trying to learn what to do. If the problem is an ego, that is one thing, but people trying it out the first few times is something different.
