I have a pet cougar now, but want to get a wolf. How do I get rid of my pet?

Go to old ascalon and head outside the gate. There is a tamer right outside, talk to him and he will take your pet off your hands. But once you give your pet up you can't get that one back unless you charm a new one.
Of course make sure you have you pet on you when you go to talk to the tamer. :x-snow3:
Adding: If you are still in pre searing the tamer is right next to Ranger Nente. The above is for post searing.
