Asian Domination of gw?

Everytime i pvp, as long as i see any korean names, we definitely will get owned. Although there are not many pro PVPs who are asian, but it almost seems like every asian is better than average american pvp players.

1)Thats not as weird. Few weeks ago an update patch changed the background music of log in and in-game into asian styled music.

2)In balthazar's temple, places are decorated with asian structures.

3)Even the ritualist dress like asian, and assasin dress like japanese ninja (small breasts? small size? sry to say, azn have small boobs, i lived with em for 12 years).

4)In chapter 2 screenshots all the creatures and places are all asian-looking.

As announced by Arenanet : The entire continent of Cantha (which means Chapter 2) will be oriental-themed : buildings, weapons, clothing, ...
The current continent of Ascalon is completely western themed.

So basically, it's fifty-fifty.

You say this as if it's a bad thing.

I don't know the motivations behind it, but I'm personally quite glad to see the game take on something of an asian flair. I love the music, the visuals, and the new character styles.

Well, NCSoft is a Korean company, when your boss is Asian, what else can you expect? Plus, not to forget many "American" players are actually Asian American players as well. I tend to feel that GW has a harder time to attract players in asia to play their game as there are more competitions and online gaming choices there than in the States.

And as a matter of domination, I don't think Korea dominates the Hall Of Heroes.

I haven't seen Korea holding the Hall for months. (Well I don't play 24/24 but still they had more favors a few months back.)

I don't think ritualists are that "asian". They're more african/carribean in their animations, and turkish belly-dancers in dress (the female Ri has spangley undies). Though the skills with human portraits do look asian, as do some of the beta heads.

I, personally, really love the new menu! And I also hate it...it taunts me with a tiny glimpse into Chapter 2. It says, "Play with me...come play...oh right, it's not released yet. Haha, noob." The menu actually called me a noob! Unbeleivable!

And there's no way the ritualist is Asian-themed. I got a real shaman vibe from mine during the pvp beta weekend. I'd say most likely African-themed, with a touch of Voodoo mixed it.

I thought the Ritualists were African/Indian inspired, personally.

And you may be putting yourself at a psychological disadvantage, andyhong, by thinking you'll get beaten everytime you go up against Korean teams. I've gone up against Korean teams plenty of times and they don't seem particularly better or worse than European or American teams.
