We need targeted emotes

Imo, the emotes in this game as totally pointless and useless. You can't even target them at anyone... I can't count the number of times I've seen someone wave and wondered if it was for me. Or the number of times I've 'emoted' something at my bf playing with me, when I know he has his emotes turned on, and he NEVER sees it - because its not directed at him.

I really think this would add so much to the RP/PVE side, which is really lacking right now.

I mean why were the emotes even put into the game like this?
...just another way of keeping the RPG'ers/PVE'ers down...

I like the idea, not for the dance above, but for some current emotes and some I'd like to see. Targeting a "Thank You" would be great, "Introduce", "beg". It would be great for Role Player's, but we would have to deal things like my 1k joke above.

I think it would be a great idea to have them.

It would be nice to "thank" someone as Maina said. "Hug" would be a great one too. Maybe only have certain ones targeted. Although I don't think my male warrior would mind getting one of those personalised dances though.

I'm just worried that you'll see immature players acting at their worst with targeted emotes. But if it was only "polite" / "friendly" emotes I'd be cool with it.

Id love to see targeted emotes. Unfortunately, the difficulty level in getting the animations right goes through the ceiling when you involve a second person.

I would like to seem some of the emotes targetable, but I do not agree that the emotes are useless in general.

They don't have to even necessarily be visually pointed at someone, i.e. they don't have to be animated any differently. I think it would be fine just to read the text at the bottom:
"Echo Envitas waves at Maina"

And I don't think we should avoid putting new little features in the game like this just because of the possibility of someone doing something at sometime that might annoy us...

I mean what's the worst they could do with the emotes?
Spam salutes at you?



Alittle thing like this would mean so much to me at least.
