Hi,
I'm new to faction (just bought it) but I'm experienced Tyria born Monk. I've just started to play Factions (Ritualist - I just love support roles). What I've noticed is the fact that lot of skills have to be bought from skill trainers not acquired by doing quests. I just don't want to buy skills (and waste some skill points) which are available through questing. It seems like many quest have skill points as reward instead of skill itself like it was in Tyria.
Am I right or I just did wrong quests?
Regards
Unfortunately you only get skills through the very first profession quests. After that you have to buy all of them.
there's 2 "field quests" ("track down X" and "seek out Y" I think) with skill rewards for each profession which u can do before your final choice of secondary.
Once you pick a secondary you have a series of Dojo training quests u can do in the monastry. Once those are done that's it for Canthan skill rewards for any professions.
However, it is still possible to take a canthan char to tyria and gain skills for the core professions (but not ritualist or assassins) from a number of skill-reward quests after lion's arch.
