While reading another thread I came across this statment that Gaile had made:
This is the first time I have heard that the extra char slot that will be sold by Anet were going to be only for faction players only. I guess this will only affect one of my accounts but anets attitude (conveyed through Gaile) is very disheartening (could say things much worse but don't want this thread to become a flaming thread, so plz don't make it one). I am really starting to feel like this guy does:Originally Posted by Gaile

Agreed .. it's a bit misleading indeedOriginally Posted by Help Please

But I don't know if what Gaile said shoud indeed be intepreted as such. As I think that ANet is going to do it is that you can buy additional keys for extra slots, I don't actually think that a prophecies only account will refuse the new key.

This reminds me of a cover of MAD Magazine which said:Originally Posted by Gaile

While MAD Magazine was obviously joking (it being a humor publication and all), I think Anet's policy of treating purchasers of new campaigns as favored citizens and "to hell with everybody else" could negatively impact Guild Wars in the long run.
I'm assuming that there's a difference between additional character slots and purchasable character slots. I have a hard time believing that Anet would refuse to sell slots to owners of only one campaign.
Without further information, this can only turn into a paranoia-fest.
Uh, I'm pretty sure she meant the two extra character slots you got when you merged your accounts, not the character slots they'll have for purchase eventually.
Since we really don't know yet just what they're going to do exactly, regarding purchaseable character slots, I'm going to close this thread. No sense hunting witches before they even cast any spells.
