Crap talk in AB, oh boy how fun..

ABing with guildies, I got to be monk (oh joy) we were capping and I was healing, when a warrior came up. Started calling me a noob for kiting (um lets see monk vs. tank oh yeah I could take him and um heal him????) I threw out one more heal to team and went down. He started laughing and calling me a noob. To say the least while he was concentrating on me ( I did breeze myself, so I had hp left to throw out WoH to team mate) the rest of my team took out all that were running with him then owned him. I remember one teammate telling me in team chat. We got him for ya, now where would you like to hang the skin? I rezed and we continued on. I dont remember seeing his name coming up on local much after that.

But I do have to say that there are those of us that actually have fun with ABS. Guildie of mine asked to trade 3 goats and a chicken for a siege turtle. I went in once and we hit a glitch, (Okay has happened more than once) where our side was missing a entire team. Gates wouldnt open (THANK YOU, would have been total massacre if it had) so I started talking to the other side. There was some trash talk but I also remember this one person telling us that they were out capping while we were stuck in base. He said I wonder if you all have any long range weapons. Being a huge fan of long and flat bows I commented YES, come over here and see. To say the least we had some fun with each other finally got all of us to resign and started over. I tend to ignore the trash talk and sometimes yes I go after them on purpose. I have even ran into a mob, killed the trash talker and died seconds after they did. Rezed and went on capping.

Yeah, you just have to stand around in Cavalon or House zu Heltzer to know that.

In Cavalon a few weeks back:

Kurz: "Hello Luxon friends. I am Kurzick."
Me: "That was oddly friendly."
Kurz: "Im the weather man"
Me: "What? -_-' "
Kurz: "And today"
Me: "Oh dear"
Kurz: "There will be a storm that will wipe you all out (Im kurzick)"

At this point I'd had just about enough, so I thought back to something I saw at work:
Me: "May the fleas of a thousand camels infest your crotch Kurzick"
Me: "And may your arms be too short to scratch"

A few minutes quiet, then

Kurz: "WTF?"

And he leaves!

i had some trash talk too but this time in Fort Aspenwood, both kurzick and luxon side ( im not geek but luxon ftw? ).
any way, one time when i was in luxon side ( when im luxon side i always use a water build so when you see me there you know what i use ), and was runing my usual water build with mirror of ice as elite.

while i was owning a stupid Healing Signet warrior ( seriously! what healing signet warrior can beat an Hydromancer with rust and snares? ) and Maelstorming a Pyromancer ele, one stupid SS/curse necro step over and started saying:

Him: Stupid water ele. How can you beat anyone with water magic? Noob!
Me: If im that noob you should have no problem killing me in 1vs1 right?

It just took me 5 seconds to neutralize him with a Deep Freeze/Maelstorm combo ( no more curses or Spitefull Spirit ) and spear him to death.

well, what did he say next?

Him: You were lucky! You had a monk heal you!
Me: Why cant you just admit i beat you plain and simple!
Him: Because your a noob!
He rage quit after.

Other time, in kurzick side ( i alwasy use a earth build here, OBSIDIAN FLAME FTW! ), and was fighting a wicked MM warrior. thats right, an MM warrior/necro .

He started with all that talk that he is invencible because of his meat shields ( minions ), and as a freaking anti crap talker i steped in and introduced him my humiliating anti MM combo: Armour of Earth -> Sliver Armour -> Shockwave. Litereally the warrior killed himself. I just finished him with obsidian flame. when i looked to my HP bar it was still about 300 health so i asked him:

Me: Hows that for invencibility?
Him: *Rage quited *

good times pawning REAL noobs who think they are good.
sometimes you just need someone to teach them a lesson.

lol i think everyone get this kindof thing most days. Often I switch off the chat channels in pve, its better.

Likewise. I rarely leave anything but guild and team speak on.

I do however turn it on when someone's talking crap and my guild leader decides to verbal assault them until they shut up or change districts.

I like to say they're reaping what they sow.

AB's hilarious with the trash talking though. I usually scream random things at people jokingly. Usually about bananas and monkies lol, one time me and a few friends held hillside res on Saltspray while 10, yes 10 Kurzicks tried to take my team down (10v4 :P). We had an awesome team, the monk was rockin' and we were a bit defensively built. Anyways, after that match (yes, we lived and won, eventually it was 12v6 of us, and we still came up ontop) I told the Kurzicks not to slip on those banana peels anymore. I thought it was hilarious because KD > their monks :P

I've been noticing a lot of trash talk. I also have a friend who wants to start doing AB and Aspenwood, but she gets effected by this stuff. That made me realize why people do it. If you rage quite because someone trash talked then they win. It thins the ranks that you are fighting. Others are just trolls.

I have also been on the side of some good comments during play. After solo tanking and delaying a turtle and 3 attackers for a good min or two at aspenwood they mentioned that it was unpleasent. I take that as a great compliment! I like having people tell me when they think I did good, and I will absolutely tell them when I think they did good.

I once was attacking a base in aspenwood, took out the monk, and worked on the commander while a warrior was pounding on me. He realised he wasn't a target so he slapped mending on the commander. Great move and I let him know after his buddy showed up and they took me out.

Flip side: I was backfired 5 times in AB last week on my warrior. Each time I killed the mez or /mez that did it. Eventually I was laughing so much each time I was backfired I had to tell them to stop backfireing me, lear the lesson, it doesn't work. Some would take that as offensive, but I thought it was funny...It may have helped but that wasn't my build. I have also had an elly go down 5 times strait to backfire from my mez. same thing each time he came in I backfired, and he spammed spells and died. some just don't learn

Another time I was attacking a base in aspenwood and again working on a commander. Rit shows up and starts healing the commander so I kill it. Back 10 sec later so I resolve to delay the rit by pounding on the commander. A warrior shows up and sits there trash talking to me saying I can't kill the commander. Of course I can't it's getting healing, but now 2 of you are out of the fight. Trash talk all you want, I did my job of 1 person keeping 2 out of a fight! I just made it 7 on 6, and also made sure the mine on that side was relatively safe to run from!

You really wanna be heckled? Just play a touch ranger in ra/ta/ab or aspenwood, you wont believe how many people will call you noob etc etc.

Though now I just switch to offline mode that way I dont get any pm's that say "I love you" I hate you, you noob , I hate your kind , play something with skill noob. And yes you will get them danm the maturity average of this game.

Though I dont play touchy exclusively , I kind of like angering people and I dont even have to say anything

I get a lot of trash talk from running away from over-eager wammo's.

For some reason they think i will just stand there and let them hit me for horrid damage. So i cripple them and run off, then i get the usual shouts of...

"COWARD"
"YOU A N00B CUZ YOU RUNS AWAY"
"LOOLZ"

At the point when they give up and turn around i cripple them again, then put bleed on them, then while they're trying to heal i just interrupt, so they end up bleeding to death while they limp away.
