How do you guys keep the site so fast?

I must say, I'm pretty surprised by how fast this site is. I have experienced almost no lag so far. Is it just a lot of bandwidth or is it something else?

We have bigger servers on a bigger pipe now so the upshot is we're are shifting much more data now simply because we have the capability. We kept getting capped before when it began to have an effect on other customers (of the colocation facility) servers. No such restrictions anymore hence the improvement.
