    55 Me/Mo , 55 Mo/Me, 600 Mo/Me ??

Im new to all this 55 hp monks and stuff but I wanted to try making one so i have a question. Which is better a 55 Me/Mo, a 55 Mo/Me or this 600 Mo/Me that i'v recently read about? Once again I'm a noob to this so dont go nuts on me if its a stupid question lol. ... Also is it better for a monk to start in Tyria rather then Cantha?

*edit* Im gunna start my monk in Tyria but can someone tell me which would be better for farming a 55 or 600? thanks

You forgot Monk/Warrior which is quite popular. Back in the day when 55ing was in its fledgling days, I was a Monk/Necromancer and I liked it.

Asking for whats the best this or that is just putting a target on your head which says, "Flame Here Please". Just understand this, There is NO BEST anything in this game. Everything has a counter or opposite, its part of what makes the game.

As far as your secondary class, you should be able to change secondaries for different situations. I change my monk secondary constantly and have many if not all skills in all the classes possible.

D/Mo with mysticism for energy management/nuking, protection prayers for Protective Spirit/Spirit Bond and Wind Prayers for nuking.

    Release it already!

I don't think it matters if you go 605 monking or 55 monking but I may be wrong. The downside of the 55 monk would be having to buy 5 superior monk runes which will cost around 20k-30k roughly, in addition you need to get you hands on the -50 health offhand item. The 605 monk doesn't require these so it's cheaper to create.

Correct me if I am wrong. But doesn't being a 605 monk involve you buying a superior rune of vigor? The going rate for this rune is 35-40k. Even if you purchased the -50 off-hand, which by the way is easy to get, dosent seem like its really cheaper in my opinion.

Well, the 600hp option is garnered by maintaing Vital Blessing on yourself. I actually run a 600hp skillbar with 510hp, to great effect. I enjoy it much more than W/x farming. Give me a shout in game, if you'd like to ask a few questions.

NOTE: The majority of the 55/600+ builds are ONLY effective on melee critters. Mesmers will ruin your short-lived day. <lol> But, the 600+ version does have a bit more survivability, and you can recast the key enchants should things go wonky.

    Good hunting!

With a cover enchant, mesmers don't pose that much of a problem if you can take them out quick :)

    ooook... search people.
You DO NOT have to have 600 hp for spirit bond to trigger...
    Test it yourselves.

I find the basic 600 monk can kill faster, 19 + 44 (Or 53 if you wish) = 63 or 72. Is does more damage than a 55 monk. I like 55 necro/27 necro the best for farming becasue it is different and is very fast.
You can make your monk both 55 and 600, the 55 is more expensive to make than a 600 so you can make a 600 monk then with the money you make you can make a 55 monk.

So either way 600 or 55 mo/me there still faster and more effective for farming than a 55 me/mo would be...?
