Hey guys,

I'm fairly new to GW, I've picked up prophecies and am intending to pick up Factions once I'm done with tyria.

Does this kind of thing ever happen for us Prophecies users or are we kinda out in the cold now cause we're not yet up to date?

Unfortunately recent trends suggest that most (if not all) special events will be for Factions users. There is some speculation that the large Halloween and Wintersday events will be repeated for Prophecies owners (and may even be Prophecies-specific), but this is just rumors on the wind.

Expect this trend to continue once Nightfall is released, with the majority of special events going to Nightfall users.

Am I right in thinking that Factions is a more PvP based game or is it, as prophecies, like two different games in one box and you can play one/both?

I'm really not all that interested in the PvP stuff but I really enjoy the questing with my friends.
