do you think there will be a lot more D/W and D/R runners when Nightfall comes out?
i think so, because this skill woul do wonders for running:

For 1...48 seconds, you gain +40 armor, you move 33% faster, and your attacks deal holy damage. This skill is disabled for 120 seconds.
question is : Will running even be possible, or will they take the factions approach? Even if we could go to prohecies to run chances are dervishes will be good enough farmers to do that for gold.

Doesn't sound that great to me, but it'd be possible just as any class can use the ranger secondary to utilize the running skills.
Seeing as how they have all of one running skill which is only active approximately 1/3 of the time, I don't see it happening. Ranger remains the king of running and I doubt that will change anytime soon.
They don't need to run, they just obliterate everything in their path.

Don't dervishes also have an anti-knockdown enchantment as well as decent self-heal? A dervish in its current form could probably do the Drok's run with just dervish skills.
Avatar of Balthazar - 64 seconds of 33% increased run speed
Fleeting Stability - permanent knockdown prevention
Signet of Piety and a cheap, fast recharge enchant to keep healing
Pious Restoration for hex removal
Mystic Regeneration for +10 health regen.
And fill the rest with cheap enchantments for healing, energy, and to fuel Mystic Regeneration
I can't wait for the Nightfall PvE event to see how nerfed the dervish will be compared to the PvP preview!
I noticed the spell breaker equivalent skill, which should allow effective southern shiverpeaks running. I'd say a/me would do the area better. Elsewhere ranger will be faster, and if it's not suitable for ranger (i.e. both KDs and slow hexes/unconditional cripple) a w/mo (or in very hex-heavy areas mo/x) will probably do it better too.
d/w with vow of silence could be pretty effective actually, but probably not standout brilliant.

They can run, but since dervishes pretty much owned over everything in the weekend event, they will be nerfed very badly.
