Suggestive Themes?

not important here, but i was really really wondering.... on my guild wars and factions boxes, it says these are rated 'teen' for suggestive themes, alcohol, and violence. in that order. which is whacked... but anyway!

violence, obviously. alcohol use, yes i know about that. but suggestive themes? what the heck are they talking about, there? (well, yeah, i presume sex, but...??? the only thing remotely related to that i've seen was rurik and althea being engaged.)

It s because of the hidden Mhenlo and Cynn Sex Scene that can only be unlocked by completing all missions, unlocking all skills, standing on the boat in lions arch dancing for 48 hours and singing "Do it Mhenlo Do it!~"

lol kidding aside, could it be that the whole idea of a fantasy world (where some kids might get lost in and forget real life) already counts as a suggestive theme?

Or it could be the fact that idiotic people make female characters, take off their armor and dance. I would go with that one.

In pretty much any MMO, you can hotchat (sad enough as it is). That's why I'd imagine it'd get that tag.

Yes, the armors and ability to see the female avatars highly revealing undergarments would definitely qualify as suggestive. Not to mention that they put a lot of time into making the females "move" very authetically, if you understand what I mean.

That's the answer, but it is also wrong.

Nudity is not suggestive. You know those fountains with the little cherub boy peeing? That's a-ok, but if it were in a video game it would be "child pornography"

The funniest thing is that while all these politicians are screaming about nudity in video games there are statues of bare chested women right outside the building where they debate the issue.

The entire ratings process is "voluntary" but the biggest retailers (now with monopolized Gamestop/EBGames!) refuse to sell games that have not gone through the ratings system...so how voluntary is it really?
