Guild Wars Questions

Ive got two questions

1. I'm buying Guild Wars from the retail store and I was wondering can I use that access key to create a Plaync Guild Wars account , or can a plaync guild wars account only be created from a guildwars access key purchased from this website?

2. I'm Purchasing a European Guild Wars Prophecies and a US Guild Wars Factions, both chapters being different ( European and US )
will I be able to merge both access keys?

1. PlayNC and Guild Wars accounts are seperate, your PlayNC acct opperates seperately from your Guild Wars Acct. I do not believe you need anything to start a PlayNC acct.

2. You should have no issues that I know of...but you may want to wait until someone more knowlageble on that issue speaks up. Might as well e-mail customer service at A-net

1. The key with the game has nothing to do with a playNC account, a playNC account is only for puchasing products sold by NCSoft and has no other purpose.

2. You will not have any issues merging them; however, whichever key you start the is the home servers that you will have and this is important because it determines who needs to have favour of the gods in order to acecss special areas and activate the statues of the gods, also since you can only change your home server 5 times (so people don't jump home servers whenever someone else has favour) you want to choose wisely.

The only caveat, as far as I know, is that the PlayNC account now controls the username+password portion.

So far as I know the two are unrelated since my playNC account and GW account have different emails and passwords and I can use the later to access GW and don't need the former. The playNC account is used for the online store though so maybe thats what you meant.

yea, ive got a plaync account and my GW account name has @plaync instead of my email address.

Yes, the signin details are different. But once you've created a PlayNC master account to be able to access the online store - try changing your login name + password in GuildWars.
