I just moved, and while I wait for my isp to set up DSL, I'm back to 56k (the joy!). The game was working great last week, but yesterday, something started downloading. The game is near-unplayable when there's streaming going on, so I left it at the log-in screen. For 15 hours.
It's still d/l, some 200+ MB. I'm assuming they're starting to preload Nightfall. Is there any way I can check how much there's left? Or does anyone know how big the content is?
Oh, 56kers. I feel for you.
No word on how big it is, unfortunately. I'll boot up my laptop while in the office tomorrow and see what gets updated on my system. But by then I suspect you'll be done![]()
You have problems? We have fixes!

Nightfall will start to be preloaded when the new login screen comes online as that will require some of the new textures and models.
Whatever it is, it's still downloading. Luckily, the game works fine now. No lightning bolt in-game, and no lag. Just at the log-in screen.
I was reading a previous thread about .dat file sizes, where the average size is about 2 gb. Mine is only 1.8. Wonder if that has anything to do with it. Regardless, thanks anyways.
