I was doing Aspenwood when I see a N/Rt. The RT must be there to throw you off of the build. Anyways, I used Leaping Mantis on her, and she started to run. So, I used caltrops to cripple her. To make things worse, she VIRULENCES me! So now I'm stuck with poison disease weakness and cripple. Ouch.
Just wanted to warn you guys...
Eh.
May I translate?
A Necro plague touched you and then cast Virulence on you?
This is nothing... unusual. Sorry for you, but it is nothing new.
Meh, just trying to warn the community.
P.S. It was plague sending, a nightfall skill? Since this was on the weekend.
Ehh, no... Not quite. Both I used in prophecies, so are either core or prophecies.Originally Posted by rangerjon

I'm actually trying to cap Virulence myself.
I'm using Leaping Mantis Sting, or maybe I'll switch to Jagged Strike to be more consistent in giving conditions to the enemy. In any event, my plan is give them a condition and then put Virulence on their *****. It won't take a significant amount of points into Death Magic to really cause some heavy-duty damage; it's particularly deadly against those melee guys.
I imagine it'll be great fun in RA, since there isn't a lot of condition removal there. My only problem is that it's ridiculously hard to capture because I only have Droknar's Forge and I'm trying to get, well... far as hell.

I really hated going to copperhammer mine to cap virulence and other elites in the area. That trek is so tedious with thousands of red dots in the bridge area, azures wiping out your party, ice imps with their mind freeze+maelstrom combo, and more to keep your stress level very high.
There are several very good condition bomber Sin builds posted around here. Some use Virulance on A/N and others use Epidemic on a A/Me build. I think one of them was even called the "-20 degen Sin". Being able to keep -10 degen on someone AFTER they cast Troll will certainly cause some panic.
Arredondo made a nice Virrulence build for an Assassin, perhaps wanna backfire? :}

It's kinda fun to use. I used Consume Corpse instead of Taste of Pain.
I also added Blinding Powder in it. It should be more effective now after that buff from some time ago.
Ofcourse u need to watch that u dont need to infect urself with Desease when pvping.
If things gets too dangerous (touchers, Rit with spirits) then you can just cast the things from a distance.
Otherwise just go into battle ;)

The A/N virulence build was fun to run in AB
Dancing Daggers
Mantis Touch
Crippling Dagger (pry replace this...I just wanted to see if it was worth it...)
Virulence
Enduring toxin (again not the most genius skill...just wanted to try it)
Siphon Speed
Dark Escape
Signet of Malice
Siphon speed was a real gem...
Twisting Fangs as arredondo suggests obviously a no-brainer replacement.
