Bleh, I was hit by writer's block, then Nightfall came out and I have fallen in love with my paragon. I suppose I'll have to work her into the story somehow...and perhaps Koss, and the Centaur...I am really entranced with the centaur.

My Favorite Authors (and why):

Terry Gookind: I loved his style in the Sword of Truth series. The characters came alive to me.

Gordon R. Dickson: I love the Dragon and the George book. The fact that "real" people would somehow be sucked in to a great fantasy epic was thrilling when I first read it.

Other Influences:

To behonest... a lifetime of playing D&D and other roleplaying games.

Writing Peeves:

I have none. I am a poor writer and need to work with Mr. Strunk and Mr. White more often.

I figured this was the best place to share this one. I'm not sure how many of you have heard of a novel writing program called "Write it Now". The company that makes it is small and based in England. You can check it out here: http://www.ravensheadservices.com.

All I can say is that I really love this program. It helps me keep track of everything going on in my stories and provides random (and sometimes really weird) ideas to get past writer's blocks. Anyway, check it out.

Crab? This has ...nothing to do with fanfic, but it's something I put on my blog a while back, and the topic sorta fits :p

I don't like to eat seafood, and I'm not sure why. I've been afraid of it ever since I was small. My mom told me that a couple of months before I was born, she drank fish head soup every single day so that I would be smart. Maybe I had an overdose of fish... *bleh* I don't remember this, but in Kindergarten (or first grade?) at Chinese school, we had a school-wide competition, and one of which I entered was the zhu-yin (phonetics) contest. My mom said that I was doing well, until one phrase we had to spell out was announced: pang xie (crab). According to her, I threw down my pencil and started crying, and the announcer had no idea what had just happened. I didn't finish the contest ><"

The slow clicking of a thousand crabs gnawing on the corpses stopped abruptly. With sharp mechanical movements, the creatures waved their claws, their dark carapaces gleaming in the twilight. They were weary of detritus. They were angry. Moving as one in a seething mass, they crawled forth...

...and had Kalidri for lunch.

A slight change of subject, and something totally random. When I get seven shambling horrors up and running I sometimes feel like I'm being chased by peel and eat shrimps.
