If you have bought the chapters, you can travel between them without completing the game.

Yeah, forgot to mention that. All the campaigns must be on the same account, ie. you have to have added all the keys to a single account to travel between the lands.

So I cant travel to Tyria or Cantha if I dont have the chapter even if I beat nightfall?

That's right. To go to Tyria, you have to own Prophecies, to go to Cantha you have to own Factions.
