Hi guys.
I was thinking about making a necro with the release of these cool looking skills in the release of nightfall. But before i do i was just wondering why those necros here like being necros.
Thanks

most fun playing style...its strong, we look great, we own, almost always find a team...can do almost everything![]()
My necro has been my main character for a long time ( factions, prophecies, nightfall ) and I'm still dicovering new ways to play him. For starters you have the mm builds, ss builds and vampire builds. Feel free to experiment from there. Next you never have energy problems thanks to soul-reaping ( frankly I wonder how other players manage without ). Wether you take an army of minions or prefer the spiteful spirit builds your doing huge mass damage from secure distance ( get a good armor nevertheless and use sellf-heal ) which is totally my style ( because of this your also often welcomed in groups, and what would be a online game without interaction among players ). The blood builds are easy-going since every damage you make also heals you, with a little good management you don't get into trouble.
Now necro isn't only about strong builds, the way you fight and micromanagement determines your effectivness. As said I'm still perfectionning even though I cleared both prophecies and factions. What I get out of my necro : neverending challenge and fun.

In every RPG game I play, I try to make the Necromancer-type character. The moment I read GW's description, skills and attributes, I was hooked. It was the perfect embodiment of the Necromancer that I had in my mind. And pretty much that's why I play it, the Necro has a great feel to it. And they look sinister.

I just think its funny to watch mobs and the occasional dimwitted whammo in RA kill themselves on spells like insidious parasite and spiteful spirit. That, and most necro armor, especially from prophesies and factions looks awesome. Im not sure about nightfall armor though.

I play necro because it has armor ignoring "nuking" spells, such as SS and defile/desecrate enchantment. I normally play a mage type but in GW, casting a spell that says it does 120 and see it do 40 is just discouraging, after you spent 3 secs casting it and it costs exhaustion. Soul reaping means I don't have to sit around a campfire for 3 minutes after each battle, and minions are loyal servants (except I suspect they like to steal cookies).
as said before, theres a ton the a necro can do, and they are all fun in my opinion, the armor ignoring damage really becomes a lot more powerful in the later pve areas where level 28 mobs eat up normal types of damage like its nothing, making a blood spiker on par with an air spiker, minions are always a blast and are more viable in high level areas now with OoU... plus necromancers require a good amount of skill an finesse to play, unlike some classes. imo necro is the only way to pve
Every since Diablo II's bad *** necro, I've been obsessed with the class, in any game. I also love being the 'villian', and the necro is the closest thing to that in gw. Plus, they're easily the most powerful and versatile class in the game.
