Question What the heck a glowing elementalist?

Ok I just saw the strangest thing in shing jea, a glowing elementalist. Note that I DO NOT MEAN divine aura hands. The elementalist WAS GLOWING as in a yellow aura around its upper part of it's armor and little black dots that looked like flies, the armor seemed to be the presearing ascalon armor. Can anyone explain this? i've used the search feature but it yielded no results. And no I don't have any lag or an old graphics card.

It's because he failed to complete a follow-up quest to a quest where he gets... The plague, basically.

So, don't group with him unless you want to constantly heal him. Or tell him to abandon the quest that he didn't bother finishing.

    Alternatively, point and laugh.

Heh failed? You realize some people do this on purpose just to have the sickly green glow. You can abandon the quest anytime in town and the plague goes away until next time you drink from the chalice.

Yes, I do know that - and I think it's a bit silly.

Also, I have witnessed several people that did not know how to end the effect. They're quite a joy to party with.

No, not really... And I'm sorry if the irony didn't come across as what it was - an attempt at a light-hearted joke on what pains some people go through for uh... "beauty" for lack of a better word.
