    help my necromancer.

    well im a level 20 necromancer/elementalist [ im thinking of switching ]
PvE im in cantha and i've got nightfall and prophecies too. but im trying to finish cantha first. im honestly tired of minion mastering. its so boring, and having to constantly heal them. so im looking for a new secondary profession some and new attribute [ does damage duh ] thanks.

Well, instead of healing them, you could bomb with them. Take two kinds of minions, I personally recommend bone minions (you can make so many) and shambling horrors cos you get double bang for your buck there too. Take off Blood of the Master, add death nova and taste of death. You should be rolling over everything in your path anyhow, so it won't matter if you run low on minions. Anyhow my secondary is /Mo, but the only thing I use is rebirth in case of um..serious difficulties with the rest of my party. :)

So my skillbar looks like this:

    Meekness
    Enfeebling Blood
    Faintheartedness
    Animate Bone Minions
Animate Shambling Horror (yay for peel and eat shrimps)
    Death Nova
    Taste of Death
    Rebirth

I am planning to replace faintheartedness with icy veins, just haven't gone to pick it up yet.

Anyhoo, that's how I run my minioner, and it takes some skill to get them all arisen then blow them up. I hope you enjoy it

well, necros arent at all limited to minions, there are loads of fun builds I run, most of them use prophecies and nightfall elitees though (cause faction elites suck) heres a build I run that uses a faction elite, though it uses other campaigns skills, just make a Pvp char, and get the faction to unlock them, go to that campaign, and buy em

    deaths promise (N/a)
    curse-16 (12+1+3)
    soul reaping 9 (8+1)
    Deadly arts 10

    Mark of pain
    reckless haste
    enfeebling blood
    insidious parasite
    well of darkness
    crippling dagger
Assassin promise (capped from xexuo the deceptive in pongmei valley)
    rez

its really fun, its centered around melee hate, but MOP is enough to add so REALLY significant damage

Uh... Necromancer Elites do not suck from Factions.

    Icy Veins (e)
    Signet of Lost Souls
    Defile Enchantments
    Desecrate Enchantments
    Plague Sending
    Enfeebling Blood/Mark of Pain
    Insidious Parasite
    Rez Signet

    Or...

    Blinding Flash
    Viruence (e)
    Vile Miasma
    Signet of Lost Souls
    Bitter Chill
    Glyph of Lesser Energy
    Well of Suffering
    Rez Signet

    Or (typical SS)... Or...

    Discord (e)
    Enfeeble
    Stoning
    Aftershock/Feted Ground
    Parasitic Bond
    Signet of Lost Souls
    Desecrate Enchantments
    Rez Signet.

There are many ways a Necromancer can do damage.

Yeah, try a Discord build. It's actually a pretty fun route for a Death necromancer. Parasitic Bond and Enfeeble are all you need to trigger the spell; about 4 Curses should be enough to make Weakness last long enough for you to kill them. Chuck in spells like Putrid Explosion, Consume Corpse and Well of Suffering to make sure that nobody else gets to use corpses in the meantime.

I'm using an SS build (don't know if it's typical)

    curses 16 (12+4)
    soul reaping 13 (12+1)
    SS
    MoP
    RH
    Insidious Parasite
    Parasitic Bond
    Desecrate Enchantments
    SoC
    Rez

But i'm getting tired of the build myself :)
I'm a N/W but I haven't found a build which combines the classes and survives the high levels of canthana or tyria :(
