My jaw dropped when I saw this... even it its just a hoax and they forced her to memorize all of this, its still impressive:

Some people have incredible memories... but this begs the question.... WHY would anyone *want* to memorize the "I have a dream" speech... anyone can look up the text on the internet at any time, there is just no reason to memorize it. Same with most of the other stuff...

On another note I can recite the first 100 or so digits of pi... which is of course *way* more useful. Right?

It's what's in the speech that would prompt someone to memorize it. It's a very powerful speech that speaks volumes. And that can be said for all one of a kind speeches.

For "Genius Girl," maybe this is legit. But I highly doubt she understands what's she's repeating. Interesting though, her talent reminds me of autism or Asperger's syndrome. But I don't think she has it due to her outgoing personality.

Maybe yes, maybe no. She may be just that smart, and even if she doesn't understand it all now, she will have a greater comprehension over time. My son doesn't know his own address, but he can tell you the plot, storyline and quote most of every Magic TreeHouse Book he's read, and he's 8. Kids abilities manifest in strange ways, and gifts tend to even out over time.

However, her enunciation is the most precious thing I have ever seen, she is too cute! I had to watch it a few times, it was the most amusing thing I've seen today.

And to the OP: please no more mostly naked men singing Barbie Girl or Ju's obsession with JT Sexi Back.

I'm a walking sound library. If I hear a tune, or sound effect, I often knows from which movie or game it is, and also exactly what scene. I don't know why, but I just memorise all of it automatically. Sometimes scares the hell out of my old folks when they see me take an old video from the shelves, fast forward to one scene, record the sound effect, and put the tape back again.
