Oooo even better. Yeah, you could use the downed as an environmental weapon, with one skill being "meat shield". Ooooo so awesome.
I say good riddance to the monk. If you want to play a monk go play WoW or stick with Guild Wars.
i think that in hard mod dungeons the players and NPC should suffer from friendly fire.
A player will need to have better combat awareness to prevent a team wipe, with good positioning the team can use the spell casted by the enemy casters against another enemy (manipulate a melee enemy to stand in the line of fire with an enemy caster a directional spell will hit it, area effect spell will it too).
Here's my opinion on friendly fire in GW2.
HOW THE HECK IS AN ELEMENTALIST SUPPOSED TO HEAL? THEIR ATTACKS HAVE SPLASH EFFECT THAT HEALS NEARBY ALLIES!!!
Also, many many more effects have a negative effect on foes, and a positive one on allies.

Another idea that i thought could be nice is the ability to commit crimes like stealing and murdering in the player area.
This acts might open the ability to join a thrives guild and/or an assassins guild.
On the other hand players might join a law enforcement guild and try to apprehend the assassins and thieves.
@Rhinala: that sounds cool. I always thought that if there are factions, there should be some way to define them based on player choice, and players should be able to swap from one to another faction...
There was a game where there were caravans, and you could either escort them, or attack them. I think stuff like that though belongs more on PvP servers or WvWvW... but it'd be pretty cool.
