    Princes?

If Prince Mehtu is a prince, then doesn't that mean he's unmarried? And if he's unmarried then...where'd Talkhora come from? Is she adopted or something?

he could be a prince and married.

the current husband of the Queen of England holds the title of Prince.

Oh darn. It's so confusing how they call Talkhora a princess and Mehtu a prince. Shouldn't they be like the three kings of Vabbi instead of princes? The way they have it now makes me think Talkhora would be Mehtu's wife instead of daughter. D:

*sigh* First of all, Vabbi is a joint kingdom, that means no one ruler is in control. This is why it is known as a Principality, aka a domain ruled by princes. Also, the word "prince" derives from the Latin term princeps, which quite literally means "first citizen".

I'm also renaming this thread, as the title has absolutely nothing to do with the content.

For Tahlkora, I don't know if there's a title they could use for her other than princess. Lady Tahlkora might work, but I don't think it would do her position justice. Since I can't think of any terms for the child of a prince/princess, I guess ANet decided to go with princess because that worked best.

EDIT: Darn, Quintus beat me to the whole province bit.

Hehe I was planning to include that Talkhora might have been an illegitimate daughter, which might have justified the thread title.

Mehtu isn't exactly young, and Tahlkora isn't exactly a baby either. It's possible her mother is dead, or that she just isn't significant enough to put in-game. It's unlikely Tahlkora would have a prominent place in the social heirarchy if she were illegitamate. Girls, first of all, and especially in Arabian culture, are not exactly considered first-class citizens, an illegitamate female might be killed, and certainly wouldn't be recognized as a princess.

You bring up a good point. I shall yield to you on this one and find dirt on other important figures in Guild Wars.

Maybe I will...I already had a theory a few days ago when I beat Nightfall with my monk. It contains major spoilers though.
