Just wondering about this large map.
1 flag stand
1 door switch island
2/3 ways to gank other base
Would a 3-split way make this map nice if you play over their with the middle group (door switch island) is flexible to help the other 2 groups if needed.
Just a bit wondering why it would be done or not done at all.
Maybe a waste to try at some points, maybe very well agaisnt some parties also.
Three way splits are difficult to pull off properly. You can have a two-man gank, a flagger, and a main team, but in a normal 4-4 or 4-3-runner split you need to make sure that each section of your split is survivable against as many varieties of opponents as you can, or that you can send the right split to the right place.
Also, if the opponent has a full team (7 man) you have to think about combinations; can you combine two of your three splits effectively to fight them? Will they be over pressured, can you combine in more than one way? Would one of your splits be needed to fight another teams split of 4 or do you need to combine two of them? It's complicated.
We've tried stuff with 3-3-2 splits in the past, and it's very difficult as they have to be as dynamic as possible. You need to be able to split of different things from the main team into sub-teams, have individual survivability as well as damage., and make sure that if you see five, six, or seven people falling on your 3 that you can escape.

Design your build to be resilient in an 8v8 situation first, THEN design splits around it.
You cannot rely on splits in every match, a 3-way split has the trap of having many duplicated skills, therefore making an 8v8 situation (which splitting generally will force games to VoD) less efficient.
But Frozen isle is the ultimate splitter's paradise, its so huge and there are so many routes, you will gimp yourself, if you don't split.

Yeah, that's a problem what i face. try to make a nice 3-split party facing the problem when it's inside a 7vs7 or 8vs8 battle. inside a 8vs8 you want more spike, inside a split you want more pressure around...
having the builds to do multiple tasks at the same time also is just at some times a pain in the behind...
You don't need 2 gank teams. Just use the most brokenest gank builds available, like a weapon rit plus {insert damage dealer here}. Ganking is all about overpowering the countergank.

i know about that. but still... have enough power on the other teams and healability also.
the gank party can be 1 or 2 out off the total team. 1st split has 3 and 2nd split has 2+runner. if the gank is only 1 person then the 2nd party might have 3+runner.
only wonders why the most hold it in that hall as 1 large party and 1 or 2 gank players... while a 3-split way is also very likely to do well on that map, maybe better?

you can split by 3 ways, but it will be verry hard to pull off.
but the enemy might get comfused what to send back for those 3 groups since their build can only split in 2 groups. wich may result in confusion and people running around or groups without monks
if you can move well to make warriors chase targets with speed boosts, they will overextend since monks (without speed buff) can keep up with them.
observe a war machine match, they are masters of this confusion tactic
