I used to use PvE characters, but with an extra slot and more skills unlocked, I use specially made PvP characters for the battles.

I have a char devoted to Pvp. Just delete him and remake him whenever I want to do a different build. I've taken my pve MM to AB a couple times but its just not the same as a pvp char because i don't have his armor they way i could make it in Pvp.

PvP because you can change the secondary profession to suit different occasions (very useful for a mesmer) and there are no costs for weapon/armour mods. the only downside for me is that PvP only rangers can't get pets but I don't care as i'm not a ranger anyway :)

Only my warrior has a sufficiently large selection of perfect gear for me to pvp on her with more than just one or two builds, my ranger has perfect armour and weapons for just a single build. So it's normally pvp chars.

um, if you have a PvP char and equip a charm animal, you get a level 20 pet

i used to only use PvE, but now I mix and match. My PvP slot has been held by a rit for a couple of weeks now for RA fights. I made a PvE rit but deleted it as it was boring at low levels. It's a ton of fun in PvP thou (only recently started on glad work and get 1 pt a night when i play my rit in RA).

I use PvE mainly because I'm a shallow, shallow girl and like the pretty. Most of my chars are close to being pvp ready apart from a small trival flaw (a certain offhand / 9 more health). It's hardly serious pvp so I just enjoy it on the characters I enjoy ^_^.

I do have a pvp slot though which I use when monking or playing a nec, as those characters are on my second account.

If I have the skills and/or gear for the PvE chars, I highly prefer those; otherwise, I use a PvP.
